History

Fosters Coaches established in 1972 when Peter and Theresa Foster bought a Volkswagen mini-bus 14 seats. Peter drove the bus and mainly operated factory runs and dances

In 1975 Theresa secured their first contract with Bus Eireann for school transport with one mini-bus.

In 1980 Peter and Theresa bought their first Coach seating capacity 49 passengers.

In 1992 Peter's son John at the age of 21 started driving for the business. John took a keen interest in the family business and trained as a mechanic.

2002 Peter and Theresa signed the family business to John. Peter and Theresa retired from driving shortly afterwards. Theresa still works in the office.

2011 Martina (daughter) joined the family business as secretary.

Since 1975 Fosters Coaches relationship with Bus Eireann has grown entirely and now we have 5 coaches, 3 mini-coaches and 3 mini-buses on school transport routes across county Kildare.

We have established great relationships with many primary and secondary schools, clubs, organisations, societies, foreign exchange student groups and social groups. As Fosters Coaches has built a reputation for being reliable, friendly, safe and value for money service.

Today our fleet consist of 3 Coaches (70, 58, 56,53, 52 seats), 2 mini-coaches (33 seats), 2 mini-buses (24 & 25 seats) and finally 16 seater sprinter. Two of our large coaches have wheelchair lifts.
